Yesterday, August 24, Saturday, Israel conducted attacks again in the Gaza Strip. 71 Palestinians were killed in this attack. This attack was carried out while ceasefire talks were ongoing.

Israeli forces participated in an operation in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah with tanks and bulldozers. As a result, over the past two days, more than 100,000 Palestinians have been scrambling to find safe shelter.

According to Al Jazeera, talks are ongoing in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Hamas has sent a delegation led by senior leader Khalil al-Hayya to participate in the discussions.

The Al Jazeera report states that this attack is continuing as retaliation for Hamas’ rocket attacks inside Israel last October.

According to information from the Health Ministry of Hamas-controlled Gaza, in the continuous war that has lasted for more than 10 months, over 40,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 93,000 injured in the ongoing attacks on Gaza. Countless Palestinians have been displaced since the beginning of this attack.

The Israeli administration claims that about 1,239 people were killed by Hamas in Israeli territory on October 7.
