Manchester United director, Erik ten Hag, has labelled review of Marcus Rashford’s early season form as “ stupid ”.
Rashford missed a couple of chances against Manchester City during the Community Shield defeat.
The 26- time-old was taken off beforehand by Ten Hag in the 2- 1 defeat to Brighton last Saturday.
Rashford’s performance against the Seagulls was heavily criticised byex-England striker, Alan Shearer, but Ten Hag has claimed he’s happy with the forward.
“ Everyone gets review; it does n’t count what we’re doing, if we’re winning, if we’re losing, ” Ten Hag told a news conference on Friday.
still, the conclusion is I was n’t happy with him, “ If I take a player off. I was veritably happy with Rashy in preseason, against Fulham and also against Brighton.
“ It is n’t why I took him off because his performances or position were n’t right. No.
“ We had to rotate and we’ve good players on the bench as well, you bring new energy. There will be gyration and if also there’s the conclusion the player is n’t performing,( it) can be occasionally but surely it was n’t in this case. Stupid analysis in this case from the pundit. ”
