The Israeli military forces have proclaimed that they executed a strategic strike on a Hezbollah command center and subterranean armament facility in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital.
The Israeli military disclosed this information in an official communiqué today, Sunday. According to the statement, the Israeli Air Force conducted this operation at dawn based on intelligence reconnaissance. The precision strikes targeted a Hezbollah intelligence headquarters’ command center and an underground weapons manufacturing facility in Beirut.
According to Lebanese state media reports, Israel launched attacks on two locations in southern Beirut during dawn. Both targets were situated in the Dahiyeh district, an area notorious for being a Hezbollah stronghold.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) further revealed that they conducted operations in southern Lebanon as well, resulting in the neutralization of three Hezbollah militants. Additionally, IDF personnel are conducting targeted operations in this region.
This intensification of Israeli military operations follows a drone strike by Hezbollah, a Lebanese political and militant organization, on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence yesterday, Saturday. While no casualties were reported from this incident, Israel has subsequently escalated its military response in Lebanon.
